Getting here is anything but easy. Leaving the Ranger station at Pha On early in the morning I almost started climbing from the start. However, the real climbs don't start until you actually hit the national park. From there its pretty much all up hill, except for the little descents that you can't help but feel pathetic.
I ended up sleeping at a viewpoint along the way. Some really spectacular views of the sunset/sunrise.
This morning I continued up hill for another eternity (about 2 hours) to the disbelief of my legs and ego. My right knee straining every pedal stroke...until I gave up on that knee and started just using my left. After some scary descents and tight corners I made it to the promised land. As far as I can go for now, and I go back east.
Tomorrow I will head the way I came, its the only way. I will trend north for a bit whenever the road forks.
In all, I have went 592km and have climbed 3570m. Not to bad. I climbed 1755m in 88km in the last two days! I cannot wait to be going down all that tomorrow. I guess I will have to be careful!

And my route so far is below. The next day I will be back tracking:
Some other things to note. First thing is that the lifeproof case for the ipad failed to protect my clumsiness. There is a fresh new crack running from top to bottom. That is why I buy the warranty.
It has been super awesome resting in this chill town of E-Tong. This is the best place I've been yet and its winning the race by a lot. I would post photos but this photo posting is taking a hell of a long time and I'm to lazy now.
