Thong Pha Phum to Sangkhlaburi

She said YES!

I made it to Sangkhlaburi! Finally! What a huge misjudgement in this case. I actually wasn't going to go that far up highway 323, but this morning after looking at my map for a final time I decided that if I didn't go all the way up to the Three Pagoda's Pass I would regret it later on, so I did it thinking it would just take me the day. However, after biking the most hilly terrain of the trip, more up and down on this highway than the rural road up to E-Tong, I only made it to Sangkhlaburi.  I will continue the 20 or so kilometers tomorrow unloaded :) because I will have to come back along the highway again. I also fear for a long section of extremely steep downhill I cycled today. I really don't know if I will be able to bike up that! Will I have to push my bike for the first time?! We will see. I will also spend tomorrow night at this homestay. After today I really need to recuperate my legs because it isn't going to get easier for at least a couple more days.

Today I cycled 79km and ascended 1240m. The climbing at the angles I had to do today for long sections of road was probably the most humbling experiences on a bicycle to date! Well probably not "the most" but Jesus Christ that was hard... and hot.

Trip total in kilometers is 742km and total ascent is 5619m.
